Licopeno y marcadores metabólicos: una revisión narrativa

Resumen

Objetivo: definir la acción del licopeno sobre CT, HDL, LDL y TG y analizar qué dosis suficientes tienen un efecto positivo sobre los marcadores metabólicos. Metodología: La investigación se basó en el efecto de los productos que contienen licopeno y su efecto sobre los marcadores metabólicos séricos de colesterol total, LDL, HDL y triglicéridos. Para el análisis de estudios in vivo, estudios que cumplieron criterios de intervención con diseño controlado, dieta o controlado con placebo manipulado cruzado o paralelo, ensayo clínico aleatorizado con dosis estandarizadas de licopeno en el grupo de tratamiento y control e intervención 2≤ semanas que evaluó colesterol total Se incluyeron., HDL, LDL y triglicéridos. Resultados: Se observó que el licopeno tiene un papel importante en los marcadores metabólicos debido a su capacidad para reducir el mecanismo de la HMG-Coa reductasa, disminuyendo la síntesis de colesterol y su capacidad antioxidante bajo LDL. El licopeno también moduló la actividad de PPAR y LXR, modulando la acción de ABCA1, Apoa1 y caveolinas, mejorando la síntesis de HDL y la salida de colesterol. Las dosis con efecto colesterol positivo varían, pero rondan los 26,5 mg de licopeno por día, informados en estudios in vivo con suplementos de colesterol. Conclusión: La revisión sugiere la efectividad del licopeno en la reducción de marcadores metabólicos, reduciendo así el riesgo de enfermedades ateroscleróticas.
