Abstract

The study, that emphasizes the importance of physical activity for obese individuals with multiple sclerosis, demonstrates how exercises can reduce the multiple sclerosis patients limitations The practice of physical activity consists of an important mechanism for the reduction of the body weight, over all in individuals with multiple sclerosis. The weigh loss process depends on several factors as the number of fatty cells, hereditariness, normality of hormonal system and mainly to the energy expense. This process is even more difficult when allied to multiple sclerosis. The multiple sclerosis is a degenerative chronic disease that for a long time, made people with multiple sclerosis keep a sedentary life. They were guided to save energy by reducing physical activity. This would reduce the disease symptoms exacerbation risks and be the ideal way to fatigue control. However, a sedentary life style increases the probability to develop other diseases associated to the reduction of physical activities, including, the obesity. From recent research and from my experience with people with multiple sclerosis, this work will present information related to the disease characteristics, physical activity and exercises level, obesity and factors that affect the quality of life in people with Multiple sclerosis.
