Interference of the degree of obesity in the success of the bariatric surgery
Abstract
Introduction: The study of the obesity if of the one for the consequences in the health of the individuals that from the syndrome suffer and for the epidemic ratio that comes acometendo the population. Objective: To evaluate the interference of the degree of obesity in the success of the surgical treatment, on the basis of the loss of excess of IMC. Materials and methods: The study it is characterized as analytical and retrospective. They had been enclosed patients with more than two years of postoperative. The nutritional status before the surgery was evaluated from IMC the pré-operative, and the surgical success for the loss of excess of BMI percentage. Results: It was observed that the patients with IMC minor who 50 Kg/m ² had reached, on average, loss of excess of BMI percentage of 75%, while those with IMC greater that 50 Kg/m ² had lost 58% of the excess of IMC. Discussion: A significant difference of loss of excess of BMI percentage of the analyzed groups is observed Conclusion: Patients with lesser degree of obesity better have probability of success of what those that IMC equal greater or 50kg/m². It has necessity of the accompaniment after-surgical daily pay and with intention to minimize the risks and complications to favor the improvement of the quality of life of these individuals.
