Alimentary compulsion in of obese women in treatment to lose weight
Abstract
Objective: appraise the presence of alimentary compulsion in fat women that was in treatment to get thin. Methodic: Study of transversal cut, accomplished with 42 women. To participate of the study would be in treatment to loose weight, be between 20 and 40 years old and the IMC ≥30 Kg/m2. The alimentary compulsion was identification trough of Scale of Periodic Alimentary Compulsion. All the participates from the study signed up a term of free consent and eminent. Result: the middle age e as from 30.4 ± 4.35 years and IMC 34.11(3.47) Kg/m2. It didn’t have difference statistically meangfull between waist circumference, IMC, age and alimentary compulsion. In analysis trough of Scale of Periodic Alimentary Compulsion was verification 38.1% of participate didn’t show alimentary compulsion, 26.2% compulsion alimentary moderate and 35.7% serious compulsion alimentary. However, according with analysis 62% of the women show alimentary compulsion. Conclusion: It did not have relation between the obesity and the fact of the individual to present or not alimentary compulsion. The Scale of Periodic Alimentary Compulsion is instrument that auxiliary to identification the individuals with alimentary compulsion many times is present in a fat patient in treatment to get thin.
