Estectic treatment: impact of nutritional prescription on final results

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the nutritional orientation on the results of the aesthetics treatment of body drainage on women that attended a Spa in the city of Bauru-SP. Ten volunteers were divided into two groups and they answered a questionnaire used to collect anthropometric, nutritional and aesthetic treatment data. The participants in Group G1 were provided with an individualized menu in addition to the aesthetic treatment. The participants in Group G2 received only the aesthetic treatment, all participants received eight sessions of body drainage with Manthus once per week with duration of one hour. The average age of the participants in G1 was 34.6 ± 10.4 years old and in G2 the average age was 36.8 ± 7.3 years old. Basically all the participants had a balanced diet but the data showed better result for loss of weight and body mass measurement for the participants that received the individualized menu, even without a statistic comparison, which emphasize the necessity of pairing a balanced, healthy and individualized diet with the aesthetic treatments. Conclude that the adequate and individualized nutritional advice can provide a better result in terms of loss of weight and body mass measurements when combined with professional aesthetic treatment.
