Nutrition and atherosclerosis: an informative article
Abstract
Atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases are one of the major public health problems in westerns countries. The increase in the life expectancy makes it even more urgent to tackle seriously with these health problems which should be done, essentially, by prevention. Food consumption together with healthy life styles are the best non-chemical tools that are available to all of us and work well in the prevention of atherosclerosis and its consequences.
