Abstract

The lipid oxidation is one of the many physiologic benefit found in different population, when these use the interval training of high intensity and short time. The purpose of this research was to analyze the behavior of total body mass and the abdominal circumference of overweight and obese women, who performed an interval training of high intensity during 8 weeks. Therefore were measured 8 women with age’s23±2.61 years old which practiced the experimental protocol of this research. The measure for the body weight before and post training was 79 kg and 77.4 kg, following this order, and it showed that the participants of this study lost 2% of its total body mass. In case of the abdominal circumference before and post training, the average values were 96 cm and 90 cm respectively, showing a reduction of 6,7%. In this way it is concluded that the training program accomplished with this experiment was effective for the weight lost in women with overweight and obesity.
