Spatial analysis of obesity in the adult population using primary health care of the united health system: Brazil, 2021
Abstract
Brasil has been experiencing a rapid nutricional transition in recent decades; the increase in obesity, which affects all stages of life, has become the most relevant nutritional problem at all levels of health care. Objective: To analyze the spatial distribution of obesity in adult users of primary health care in the Unified Health System in Brazil in 2021. Materials ans Methods: Descriptive, exploratory study; uses data from the Food and Nutrition Surveillance System Report (SISVAN) Web, for the year 2021. Prevence of obesity was estimated from the number of people classified as Grade I, II and III and the SISVAN population, smoothed by the empirical bayesian estimator. The following Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (AEDE) tools were used: thematic maps, Global Moran Index and Local Moran Index. Data were analyzed using Geoda software, version 1.18.
