The effect of soy supplement of the feminine gender in patients with colon cancer treatment quimiotheraphic

Abstract

The cancer is the second cause of death for illness in Brazil, being the cancer of intestine one of most frequent. The soy is a small wonder of the kingdom vegetal, providing innumerable derived nourishing rich in nutrients. Some studies have demonstrated that the consumption of products derived from the soy frequent is associated with the reduction of the risk of innumerable illnesses, such as cancer of esophagus, lung, prostate, suck and cardiovascular colorectal, illnesses, osteoporoses, diabetes, badly of Alzheimer and symptoms of the menopause. In the present work, ten patients of the feminine sex with cancer of colon in quimiotheraphictreatment had been studied. The group was divided in two, five patients having used the soy extract and the remain without the use. The patients had been guided to take one xícara of extract tea of soy (50 grams) per day. He did not have reduction of the hemoglobin, leukocytes, parquets and alteration in the weight in the group that used the soy extract during the chemotherapy, in comparison with the group that it did not use, what sample that the soy, being a rich supplement in staple fibers and proteins, can be efficient in keeping the levels of sanguineous cells in normal values, during the quimiotherapyc treatment in patients with cancer of colon.
