Anthropometric profile comparison between men and women of adult sedentary
Abstract
Search through this study is to determine different anthropometric parameters in a group of sedentary adults of both sexes living in the city of Curitiba - PR, composed of n = 50 subjects, n = 25 males and n = 25 females. Body composition was assessed using the following parameters: BMI (body mass index), CA (waist belt), WHR (waist hip) and% Fat (percentage of body fat), in order to identify patterns of health or possible predisposition the diseases related to irregularities in weight or body composition. Through charts and graphs has been found that the relation between the statistical values "t" Student of the samples is significant (values of t student = 0.44 for age and 0 for all other values), and it was possible to identify differences related distribution of fat in men and women. Concluding that should not be used as a basis, only a parameter for evaluating body in the diagnosis of obesity and excess body fat.
