Level of knowledge and main behaviors of nutritionists and physical educators front on obesity
Abstract
To evaluate the level of knowledge and main behaviors of physical nutritionists and educators front to the treatment of the obesity. 100 professionals had answered to the questionnaire, being that 50 nutritionists and 50 physical educators. The variable used in the questionnaire for nutritionists had been referring to the treatment of the obesity and knowledge on metabolic syndrome, components of the energy expense, bariatric surgery and other topics considered excellent to the nutritionist and that they are essential forthe correct behavior front to the treatment of the same one. Already for the physical educators they had been included questions on force training, more efficient exercises for the so important loss of fat and other topics. In one of the variable one perceived that 86%, consider the alimentary re-education and the physical activity as more adjusted behavior. In relation to the physical educators, the discord frequency was bigger, in the majority of the variable. The results indicate that some referring divergences in the recommendations and behaviors to the treatments of the obesity exist. Between the nutritionists it was observed that had in accordance with answered the behaviors appropriate and recommended by the used lines of direction as references and between physical educators they had answered in agreement. We conclude that a necessity of bigger interaction between physical nutritionists and educators and mainly bigger deepening and specialization in the study of the treatment of the obesity, so that they have apt professionals to work with all the etary bands that are, each time more, being attacks of the obesity.
